Q: Is Doron a publicly listed company?
A: Doron Precision Systems is a private, partially employee owned company that was established in Binghamton, NY in 1973.

Q: What is driving simulation? What is the difference between a semi-interactive simulator and an interactive simulator?
A: Driving Simulation is the imitative representation of operating a vehicle by means of operating a synthetic vehicle (simulator). Driving simulation systems can be categorized as:
- Interactive
- or Semi-interactive
Users of an interactive simulator can see and/or feel the results of various actions performed in the simulated environment The visual display system responds to the driver’s actions and the driver responds to the stimuli, that is, the driver drives a simulated vehicle within a simulated environment, typically called a universe.
In contrast, a semi-interactive simulator is one where the driver responds to the simulated stimuli via a visual display system.
The stimuli, however, do not respond to the driver’s actions.
Q: Are there any special/ particular skills needed to use a simulator?
A: Simulation systems from Doron require no special computer skills, or lengthy training and have been reported to be the easiest to use. Doron provides comprehensive training with every simulator system to ensure full use of system capabilities. Our systems have a user-friendly Microsoft Windows™ based Graphical User Interface (GUI). This in combination with industry leadership in designing hardware and software that closely replicates/ mimics real life environments, enables ready familiarity, ease-of-use and higher standards in driver training and entertainment simulation.
Q: How can I see a live demonstration of Doron’s simulator(s)?

Q: Does Doron offer Rental or Leasing arrangements for simulators?
A: Leasing and rental arrangements are available and details will vary according to the specific transaction. Please contact us for more information.
Q: Does Doron offer customized training packages for driver training?
A: Yes. Doron works closely with customers to develop customized turnkey solutions to meet specific customer requirements and help achieve multiple training objectives.

Q: Is it possible to make Doron’s driving and entertainment systems mobile? Are there any particular instances when customers have done so?
A: Yes. Doron’s systems can fit into mobile vans/ vehicles and have been designed for tolerance to mobility. Doron co-ordinates closely with customers to customize systems to meet particular needs.

Q: What are the various after-sale services provided by Doron?
A: Extensive instructor training is accomplished at your site, with your system, and is performed by experienced, professional traffic safety instructors. All systems include a comprehensive 1- year warranty and complete on-site service calls as needed. For quick response, full-time dedicated service technicians located throughout the country provide regular preventive maintenance. Technical support is also available through telephone, fax or modem. Maintenance service is available after the warranty period on either a contract or per-call basis.
