Users of an interactive simulator can see and/or feel the results of various actions performed in the simulated environment The visual display system responds to the driver’s actions and the driver responds to the stimuli, that is, the driver drives a simulated vehicle within a simulated environment, typically called a universe.
In contrast, a semi-interactive simulator is one where the driver responds to the simulated stimuli via a visual display system.
The stimuli, however, do not respond to the driver’s actions.
