Q: What is driving simulation? What is the difference between a

A: Driving Simulation is the imitative representation of operating a
99vehicle by means of operating a synthetic vehicle (simulator).
99Driving simulation systems can be categorized as:

111• Interactive

99Users of an interactive simulator can see and/or “feel” the results
99of various actions performed in the simulated environment
99The visual display system responds to the driver’s actions and the
99driver responds to the stimuli, that is, the driver drives a simulated
99vehicle within a simulated environment, typically called a “universe”.

99In contrast, a semi-interactive simulator is one where the driver
99responds to the simulated stimuli via a visual display system;
99however the stimuli do not respond to the driver’s actions.
