Mississippi Department of Education strengthens driver training with a combined fleet of 16 mobile classroom-systems, 250 + simulators from Doron.
Binghamton, NY, June 2005

Doron Precision Systems, Inc. announced today an additional sale of three mobile driver training systems to the Mississippi Department of Education. The repeat order brings in a combined presence of sixteen new systems with more than 250 simulators from Doron. The state-of-the-art simulator systems will be placed in custom designed, environmentally controlled trailers and will provide a mobile and dynamic training environment for the student drivers.

With a strong emphasis on driver education at Public Schools, Mississippi is among the leading states to have a proactive approach to traffic safety. “Doron’s simulators are best suited to our training needs. We are pleased to be working with the company” remarked Mr. James L. Brooks, The Supervisor of Driver Education with Mississippi’s Department of Education. Each system is configured as a multiple unit classroom resulting in a high trainee/instructor ratio. It provides superior hands-on training/assessment, while achieving Specific Training Objectives (STOs). For Mississippi’s Department of Education, every system consists of a 16 simulators. The 250+ simulators contained in mobile trailers make it possible to train students at different locations implementing a successful statewide driver education program.

Doron’s simulators significantly aid the development of perceptual/cognitive skills, scanning techniques, mirror usage, critical cue recognition, decision-making skills and crash avoidance strategies.
