SUNY Ulster Criminal Justice Program Thrives with Doron Driving Simulator.
Binghamton, NY, June 2010

Ulster Community College in Stone Ridge, NY has been utilizing Doron’s recently installed 550LE Driving Simulation System with great success. The 550LE System is equipped with the SkillTrak™ reaction testing software option and a law enforcement specific Defensive Driving Scenario Package. The 550LE provides a seamless Virtual World driving environment with urban, suburban, rural, industrial and interstate highways. The system enables SUNY Ulster to train police recruits and retrain existing emergency responders.

According to James Truitt, associate professor of criminal justice and Red Hook Chief of Police, “The benefits of this technology are truly life saving in nature. It is far better that young police officers in training and in-service police officers learn effective driving techniques here in a simulated environment than out on the streets of our communities.” You can read a full article and view two short videos published by The Daily Freeman about the SUNY Ulster program and the Doron 550LE at:
