Doron’s 460Fire Driving Simulators Training Memphis Fire Fighters.
Binghamton, NY, May 2008
Doron Precision Systems, Inc. of Binghamton, NY recently delivered and installed two 460Fire Driver Training Simulation Systems for the City of Memphis Fire Department. The Fire Administration plans to use the 460Fire Simulators to enhance an existing driver training program for experienced and new fire fighters.
The City procured the simulators with the assistance of a federal grant and included several optional features offered by Doron. The Performance Evaluation System, SkillTrak testing software and and Doron’s Scenario Developer are such examples. The Department included a 550Car/SUV Simulator which allows the City to offer training and in-service for other municipal employees. Doron also customized a scene for the simulators’ Virtual World that included an aircraft crash response scenario for the training curriculum.
Doron has over 35 years experience in driving simulation and ongoing collaboration with traffic safety experts, emergency response and law enforcement professionals. Customers report lower training and liability costs resulting from shorter training times, lower collision rates and improved safety when using Doron simulation systems in their training program.
