Doron 450LE Driving Simulator System To Train Georgia Law Enforcement Officers.
Binghamton, NY, April 2002
Donald Wenzinger, President, announced today the delivery and installation of a 450LE driver training simulator system for Local Government Risk Management Services, Inc. in Decatur, Georgia. The 450LE is a fully interactive driving simulator system designed to provide a dynamic training environment for a wide variety of police and emergency agencies. The simulator is installed in a customized trailer.
Local Government Risk Management Services provides loss control services to cities and counties in Georgia. The system features a user-friendly scenario authoring capability. Local Government Risk Management Services has created a driver training scenario for use on the 450LE that is specific to the needs of law enforcement officers in Georgia. The scenario is part of four-hour course designed by the course instructor, Larry Welch. The simulator training experience works in concert with on-course driver training programs. Training maneuvers can be practiced safely in the 450LE before transitioning to a road course. The driving compartment is based on a typical police cruiser, setting new standards for functionality and ergonomics in a law enforcement driving simulator.
