Doron Precision Systems Introduces New 450LE Simulator.
Binghamton, NY, November 2000
Doron Precision Systems, Inc. introduced today at IACP in San Diego, the company's newest driver training simulator, the 450LE. The 450LE is a fully interactive driving simulator designed to provide a dynamic training environment for a wide variety of agencies and organizations.
The new simulator includes many new features that create a training environment second only to actual vehicle training exercises. The driving compartment is based on a typical police cruiser, setting a new standard for function and ergonomics in a law enforcement driving simulator. The 450LE's detailed driving universe and realistic feel of the controls place the driver in the center of the action.
Doron's 450LE also features the newest high-resolution visual imaging. Three 42" plasma wide-screen displays surround the driver with continuous 190-degree field of view to provide unparalleled brightness and realism. The flat screen plasma technology also allows the 450LE to fit into limited training spaces.
In the 450LE Doron introduces TrueSteer, the company's advanced steering system provides unsurpassed response to road conditions and driver input. TrueSteer is perfect for mission critical training.
In addition, Doron brings to market SkillTrak, the company's proprietary driver performance monitoring system. SkillTrak allows the 450LE to safely and accurately measure driver reaction results.
Doron's expanded driving universe includes a wide variety of rural and urban landscapes. Conditions may be quickly selected to include rain, fog, snow, dawn/dusk visibility (including sun glare) and night driving. To handle adverse conditions, the 450LE simulator patrol vehicle is equipped with selectable ABS braking, giving the driver the edge in the most challenging driving conditions.
